About the Author

Abigail Ayinla is an emerging author of poetry and creative musings steeped in the human experience. 


Born in Nigeria, Abigail moved to the United States as an infant, settling in the vibrant and diverse community of Brooklyn. She's just released her debut novel, Not For Good People, a psychological thriller that explores the lives of complex and tortured characters along with their inner conflicts and moral struggles. 


Her passion for storytelling comes from her fascination with the human psyche—how environment, genetics, and personal experiences shape people and their roles in society. Her writing delves into these themes, along with the complexities of family life and the weight of moral dilemmas, all through the lens of the African and Black experience.

She battled monstrous demons and fought chaotic setbacks to build a good life – a life sandwiched between her husband’s lies and his flying fist.


Good things came at a price – she knew that. Just like she knew her brutal past deeds had shaped her current life into a waking nightmare.


But she also knew that good things always come to an end . . .


As Elaine’s past starts to work its way to the surface, she begins to question her dedication to the life she crafted from the ashes of a childhood filled with abuse and survival.
